Introduction
CATE is happy to offer more in-depth programming through our multi-session short courses. Each course provides a collaborative environment to learn, discuss, and refine effective strategies for your courses.
CATE Short Course Certificates
Beginning in Summer 2026, CATE is introducing a certificate of completion for our short courses. These certificates provide tangible evidence of your commitment to teaching excellence and serve as a record of your continuous improvement as an educator.
Earning your certificate is as easy as 1-2-3:
- Attend: Participate in each session of the short course.
- Prepare: Complete any brief pre-work to help kick off the conversation. This might be a survey or an introductory post.
- Apply: Submit the required teaching artifact you developed during or after the short course, demonstrating the application of course concepts within your teaching context. This is something you can immediately use in your teaching.
Note that if you are not interested in the certificate of completion, you are still welcome to participate in the short course and can omit the second and third requirements.
