Overview

Looking for a graduate-led community, learning your rights as a graduate employee, and hearing what your fellow grads in GEO are doing to better our working conditions and wages? Come join our relaxed GEO Orientation and get free goodies!

The Graduate Employees Organization at UIC is run by and for graduate workers. GEO represents approximately 2,300 Teaching Assistants (TAs), Research Assistants (RAs), and Graduate Assistants (GAs) at UIC. We are the official venue through which graduate workers negotiate with the University Administration over our healthcare, wages, and other working conditions. We also work to organize to ensure our contract is being implemented properly. Come to learn the parts you play in this effort!

WORKSHOP FORMAT: This workshop will be held in Lecture Center room 1 (802 S. Morgan St)

WORKSHOP FACILITATORS: Macy Miller and Cameron Melendez, mmill97@uic.edu or cmele@uic.edu
