Overview

Are you looking for ways to streamline grading and make your feedback more meaningful to students? Rubrics are a multipurpose tool that can be used to clarify expectations, provide targeted feedback, and promote consistency in grading. In this interactive online workshop, you will explore the benefits and limitations of different types of rubrics and how to align them with course learning objectives. You will leave this workshop with a draft rubric that you can use in your own course.

Workshop objectives:

After participating in this workshop, you will be able to:

  • Identify the key components of various rubric types.
  • Discuss the benefits and challenges of using rubrics in assessment.
  • Align rubrics with assessments and learning outcomes.
  • Draft a rubric to measure student achievement in your course.
