About
Sawsan Alqarni is a Teaching Assistant at CATE. As a Teaching Assistant, she provides educational technology support to UIC’s faculty, students, and staff. Specifically, Sawsan delivers a Blackboard-related and educational learning tools support. Prior to joining UIC for her PhD in Critical Studies at the English department, Sawsan earned her Master’s degree in English Literature from Indiana University. She also worked as a Teaching Assistant at King Khalid University and Bisha University where she taught ESL to native Arabic speakers, served in student advising committees, and received some professional training on course development (i.e. QM Rubrics and Standards) as well as the use of technology in higher education.
