About
My name is Isaias Hernandez and I'm a Senior Academic Technologist - Hardware at CATE. I oversee the common classroom AV upgrades by engaging with vendors and contractors through the entire project. I also collaborate with the CALE team to ensure we can collaboratively address all aspects of the learning environments at UIC. Additionally, I also provide tier 3 support for the classroom technologies. I started working at UIC as a student employee doing AV support with the LTS Support office (formerly LETS) back in the Summer of 2010. I graduated from UIC with a degree in History (focus on 20th century Western European.)
I'm a decent drummer. Big fan of motorsports (Formula 1, WEC, IndyCar). Love Liverpool FC, Chicago Bears, Bulls, Fire, and White Sox. I'll bite and say I also have an "eclectic" taste in music and Haruki Murakami is probably my favorite author.
