Overview

Join us to celebrate your achievements this semester and reflect on the lessons learned through your teaching experiences. This session will provide an opportunity to share insights, challenges, and successes with fellow graduate teaching assistants while exploring strategies to foster collaboration and continuous growth as educators. Together, we will identify actionable ways to apply these lessons to future teaching opportunities and strengthen our teaching community.

After participating in this event, graduate students will have:

  • Shared key teaching experiences and insights from the semester with peers
  • Identified a plan to integrate semester takeaways into future teaching endeavors

EVENT FORMAT: This workshop will be held on-campus, in-person in room 201 in the Teaching Excellence Building (TEB) located on 924 S. Morgan Street.

Inclusion and Accessibility Information: CATE is committed to making events accessible. CATE’s in-person events typically involve a combination of presentation and discussion-based activities. We welcome ASL interpreters, note-takers, and accompanying assistants to in-person CATE events. The TEB is wheelchair accessible with an elevator to the second floor space. The TEB space is equipped with fixed-height tables that are moveable and can be reconfigured. There are single-occupancy, all-gender, accessible bathrooms on the second and basement levels of TEB.
