The Foundations of College Instruction is a 3-course campus certificate that can appear on an official transcript offered through the Graduate College, in partnership with the Center for the Advancement of Teaching Excellence. Through this series of courses, graduate students can gain foundational knowledge in education research that supports effective, equity-minded college teaching, and gain practice applying this theory to their teaching. Students also develop materials to use in their teaching at UIC as well as on the job market.
