CATE is pleased to launch a dedicated Microsoft Teams channel for online teaching and learning where UIC faculty and staff can exchange resources, seek answers, and provide mutual encouragement.

This space, moderated by CATE staff, will support our academic community in delivering high-quality synchronous, asynchronous, hybrid, and distributed online learning experiences for UIC’s undergraduate, graduate, and professional students. To join this channel, simply navigate to this Online Teaching and Learning Channel link.

Digital and online learning provides flexible, accessible, and engaging opportunities that allow students to develop critical skills and advance their careers while expanding a school’s reach. While there is an increased interest in online learning opportunities, we recognize the many challenges this presents — especially when moving beyond the emergency remote teaching we experienced during the Covid-19 Pandemic. CATE is excited to partner with Extended Campus and the Instructional Design and Media Production Studio to support the Campus Online Initiative and advance online teaching at UIC.
