CIRTL at UIC

CIRTL@UIC is offering free online programs and events this fall to help UIC graduate students and postdoctoral scholars develop as inclusive educators and prepare for the job market including:

  • A workshop on Supporting Neurodivergent Students | October 5, 1-3 pm
  • A workshop on Getting Started with Inclusive Teaching | October 26, 10-11:30 am
  • An Introduction to Evidence-Based Undergraduate STEM Teaching course | begins September 26
  • An event series on Exploring Careers in Teaching at a Community College | begins October 27

By completing CIRTL programming, participants can earn a certification documenting their commitment to developing their pedagogical knowledge and teaching skills.

This credential is recognized by the more than 40 research institutions across the U.S. and Canada that make up the Center for the Integration of Research, Teaching and Learning (CIRTL) network, a prestigious network of research universities committed to supporting future faculty by promoting the adoption of effective college teaching practices. UIC’s Graduate College and the Center for the Advancement of Teaching Excellence have partnered to establish UIC as a member of this network, and you can learn more on the CIRTL@UIC website.
